Our Team
Marco is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and currently serves as DFIC’s President. He is specializing in finance and pursuing a minor in economics. Marco recently completed an internship at National Bank Financial Markets with the Diversified Industries Group Investment Banking team and will be returning after graduation. Navodit is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business specializing in accounting with a minor in innovation. He has been with prior DFIC clubs since first year in roles including Analyst and Corporate Development, and also served as the President of DeGroote Accounting Association. Recent work experience includes an audit and advisory internship with KPMG, and will be returning full time to get his CPA. Mackenzie is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and currently serves as the VP of Private Markets, after the DeGroote Private Equity and Venture Capital Association merger with DFIC in January 2020. He is specializing in finance and pursuing a minor in economics. Mackenzie recently completed a 12-month internship at Wells Fargo in the Commercial Distribution Finance group. Lucas is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business specializing in finance with a minor in economics. He has been with DFIC since first year in Analyst and Portfolio Manager roles, currently serving as VP Investments. Recent work experience includes equity research at BofA Securities and RBC, and this summer he will be completing an internship at CIBC in Investment Banking. Simran is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business specializing in marketing and data mining. She has previously been the Chief Marketing Officer for McMaster Energy Association and the Media Producer for DeGroote Marketing Association. She joined DFIC because she enjoys investing and trading. Simran’s goal is to join a tech company or work in a consulting firm. In her third and second year, she worked as the Marketing Consultant in two separate internships. She loves going to the gym, running, and reading in her spare time. Jessica is in her fourth year of the Integrated Business and Humanities Program and serves as the Director of Internal Relations. As an IBH student with the goal of becoming a lawyer, she finds interest in both social justice and business ventures. She has pursued multiple summer internships, including most recently working for an agency of the Ontario government. Meagan is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and currently serves at the Director of Corporate Relations. She recently completed a Portfolio Management internship with RBC Global Asset Management. Meagan has also completed two other rotations with RBC in Asset and Wealth Management and internships with Canadian Blood Services and Brookfield Properties. Patrick is in his third year at the DeGroote School of Business and currently serves as the Director of Finance. He is specializing in accounting and pursuing minors in economics and innovation. He is about to begin a 16-month internship at Ford Motor Company in their Accounting and Control division. His hobbies include playing hockey, reading legal thrillers and playing piano. Liam is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and currently serves as DFIC’s Conference Chair. He is completing his major in finance this year in addition to working part time at Desjardins as a property and casualty insurance advisor. Upon graduating, Liam is beginning his career at IBM global business services in their SAP consulting practice. Roberto is in his fourth year at McMaster University and currently serves as the Director of Portfolio Management. He is specializing in financial mathematics and is pursuing minors in economics and finance. Roberto is currently an intern at PSP Investments with the Real Estate group and will be joining the CIO group for the Summer. Jonathan is in his fourth year of the Actuarial & Financial Mathematics program and currently serves as DFIC’s Director of Mentorship. Jonathan recently completed an internship at National Bank Financial Markets on the Risk Management Solutions (Derivatives Sales/Origination) team.
